Sales Specialist (Americas)

Job description

Note: Although this is a remote position, we are only considering candidates based within the EST timezone.

We’re looking for someone to join our newly created, small, Sales team, to help us grow our foundation in culture, processes, and managing our funnel. We work entirely with inbound leads through our freemium, self-service model and deal with a high volume of SMB-sized businesses. You’ll join a team in the thick of figuring out a lot of exciting challenges, from the basics of evaluating a CRM, to defining the core function of the role. We’re looking for someone who’s willing to take on a multi-faceted role that involves being on the front-line alongside helping us develop our sales strategy.

We take a different approach to sales at Hotjar, and we're looking for candidates who think about sales in a way that puts the prospect’s needs first. You should be passionate about understanding our customers’ needs, and a self-starter in finding opportunities to improve the team as a whole. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the mechanics of Saas Sales and is prepared to join a growing, fast-paced team who learn and iterate on their approach to Sales every day.

You will:

  • Perform product demos and present webinars for both prospects and customers.
  • Dissect our prospective leads to discover their most common requirements in procurement and how this can be streamlined.
  • Develop and maintain a sales opportunity and forecast system.
  • Communicate prospective customer needs to product managers and product teams.
  • Help establish training material and programmes as the Sales team grows.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of inbound sales experience, ideally SaaS.
  • Tech-minded - able to develop a keen understanding and technical knowledge to speak clearly to customers and communicate their needs to our team.
  • Be comfortable taking calls and closing deals.
  • Comfortable taking charge ideating on strategic projects about growing our sales efforts.
  • A desire to work in a respectful, caring, and transparent work environment, following Hotjar’s company values, culture and ways of working.
  • Must submit to a background check confidentially processed by our third-party.

What we offer

  • A remote and accomplished diverse and international team.

  • A chance to positively enhance people’s experience online and make the web a better place.

  • Annual learning and development budget.

  • 40 days paid holiday per year.

  • Several perks designed for your well-being and a healthy work-life balance (Holiday Budget, Wellbeing Allowance, Working Together Budget, 16 weeks paid parental leave, and much more).

Compensation Range

The budgeted compensation range for this role is $56,500 to $73,000 annually, plus paid vacation and sick leave (we do not have a commission or bonus scheme at Hotjar). Ranges are based on market research and are equitable to other roles within Hotjar. The actual compensation offered to a successful candidate will be based on relative experience. At this time we are only able to provide official employment status to those located in Malta, the UK and Germany. All other candidates will join our team as full-time consultants and will be responsible for paying any taxes or applicable fees where they reside.
